Kitchn Synch

I have been hearing a lot about mail order meal kits such as Blue Apron. They sound like such a great idea. Quick synopsis for those who don’t know what this is. These services are meant to encourage home cooking by making it easier. They send a meal kit containing recipes and all of the necessary ingredients to make fresh, healthy, tasty meals right to your door. The idea is to eliminate concerns that lead people to not want to cook.

For those who are intimidated by cooking, the recipes are easy to follow, with step-by-step instruction, with ingredients that are premeasured.

For those who don’t have time or interest in grocery shopping, all of the ingredients are sent to you. This also eliminates wasted ingredients and the issue of looking for ingredients that might not be locally available.

This also allows these services to offer more diverse options with new techniques and ingredients that people might otherwise be hesitant to try.

However, as a strictly Kosher eater I had a problem as these services do not offer a Kosher option. Last week it struck me that with the popularity of the services, there must be a Kosher one, and there is! After a short Google search I discovered Kitchn Synch.

This series of posts will be about Kitchn Synch, a play by play of my experience and a recipe rating. Enjoy!
