I was listening to an interview with Tamora Pierce who is one of N and my favorite childhood authors. For those who don’t know she has several excellent series. One of which is about Alanna the female knight.

In the interview Tamora Pierce said that she had once received a letter from someone who said that she would become a knight when she grew up. Years later she received another letter from the same girl, now woman, who is indeed a female knight!

Her name is Virginia Hankins.

Is it just me or does she look similar to another awesome female?
