One of my favorite mommy blogs is Mommy Shorts. Written by Ilana Wiles a mom of 2 who has a unique and hilarious voice, which she uses to share amusing anecdotes about her children and to reassure all of us parents that we are not alone and that parenting is easier and more pleasant if we can see the humor in the chaos. So imagine my delight when Ilana came out with a book last week.

The book, The Mommy Shorts Guide to Remarkably Average Parenting, came out on September 27th and I awaited it eagerly. Sure enough, it was fantastic! Even better than the blog because Ilana was able to fit so much more humor and honest parenting advice into a book than can fit in a blog post.

I read the book in two days and passed it on to my sister. She too is delighted with the book and now states that she will start following the blog. (I am working on her. She has so far been resistant to my blog love. With each new blog I convince her to read, she is enjoying them despite herself. So blog by blog I am convincing her of the fantastic content available via blogs.)

She also stated that she will be passing the book on to our mother. I can’t wait to hear what she thinks.
